Jamal's foray into comedy began when he worked as a sound technician at the Ontario Improv. It was there that his managers and coworkers recognized his natural comedic talent and encouraged him to try his hand at stand-up comedy. Their words were clear: "You’re funnier than the guy up there!" Jamal's innate likability, animated personality, and hilarious nature soon became evident on stage.His comedy career took off at The Improv comedy clubs in the Southwest, including locations in Brea, Irvine, Ontario, Tempe, San Jose, and Levity Live. Jamal's animated, relatable, and tell-it-like-it-is style quickly propelled him to headliner status early in his career. Audiences describe him as a cartoon with a creative touch, delivering humor that not only makes you laugh but also applaud.
